ALLIANCE PARTY OF NORTHERN IRELAND

The Alliance Party, founded in 1970, is a political party in Northern Ireland. The party was born with the aim to heal the bitter divisions in their community and promote partnership and reconciliation between people from different backgrounds. Alliance stands for a shared society which is free from intimidation, discrimination, and fear and has been campaigning to build a united community for all people, firmly based on the highest standards of individual rights.

The Liberal Democrats were formed in 1988 by merging the Liberal Party and Social Democrats. The Party is passionately pro-European, internationalist and environmentalist. It was a junior partner in the Coalition Government of 2010-2015. It currently has 72 MPs and 78 members of the House of Lords, plus extensive representation in local government. The Liberal Democrats aim to build and safeguard a fair free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.
