CENTERPARTIET
Party Leader: Muharrem Demirok
Founded in 1913, the Centre Party is a green liberal party in Sweden with its foundation based on equal rights and the individual’s freedom. Decentralisation, empowering small business and entrepreneurship, and sustainability and environment are the Centre Party’s cornerstones. The EU should work more efficiently, and member countries should collaborate and tackle cross-border challenges such as climate change and safety issues. Together with the ALDE Party, we can build a freer Europe based on democracy, transparency, and responsibility.
LIBERALERNA
Party Leader: Johan Pehrson
Liberalerna ("Liberals") has a long-standing tradition as a Swedish liberal party fighting for equal opportunities for its citizens. The party was formed in 1934 under the name Folkpartiet by a merger of the parliamentary parties, the Swedish Liberal Party and the Frisinnade folkpartiet and was called the "People’s Party". From 1990, the party was called the Liberal People's Party and in 2015 the official name Liberalerna was adopted. Johan Pehrson, Sweden's current Minister for Employment and for Integration, serves as party leader since April 2022.
