The Hungarian Liberal Party - Liberals (Liberálisok) was formed in 2013 and has represented liberal views and standpoints in the Hungarian Parliament since 2014. The party, both inside and outside of parliament, continues to fight against the “illiberal state” of Fidesz in favour of a more accepting, humane and open society.
MOMENTUM MOZGALOM
Party Leader: Márton Tompos
Momentum Mozgalom ("Momentum Movement") was founded in 2015 as an association led by Dániel Károly Csala. After their protest on Budapest’s bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics they became an official political party and started to campaign for elections. They just missed the threshold in the 2018 National elections Momentum, but subsequently became the 3rd biggest Hungarian party at the 2019 European elections and won in the local elections.
