Parliamentary elections were held in Lithuania on 13 October, with a second round on 27 October, to elect all 141 seats in the Seimas.

Half of the 141 seats are allocated through proportional ranked voting, while the other half is allocated via a two-round electoral district system.

ALDE Party member Liberalų sąjūdis won 12 seats in the new mandate with a share of 7.7% of the popular vote, strengthening their representation in large cities.

Party leader and current Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen was re-elected in Vilnius, while Lithuania's current Minister of Culture Simonas Kairys won a seat in Kaunas.

Among other members to retain a seat were Virgilijus Alekna, Andrius Bagdonas, Edita Rudelienė and Lithuania’s current Minister of Environment Simonas Gentvilas.

Despite winning around 4.62% of the popular vote, ALDE Party member Laisvės partija did not win any mandate in electoral districts.

The party will continue to work in local government and in the European Parliament, continuing to uphold liberal values and striving to build a better Lithuania for all.
